Camp Kidnie Donations

Donations also play a pivotal role in sending children with kidney disease to Camp Kydnie a truly special overnight camp held annually in north Central Pennsylvania during June or JulyVictory. While the cost to send one child to camp is approximately $650, families are only asked to contribute $100. The remaining balance is covered entirely through our year-round fundraising efforts and generous donations, ensuring that no child is ever turned away from this invaluable experience due to financial constraints.

Honoring Loved Ones and Leaving a Legacy

Contributing to KFCP is also a meaningful way to honor or remember special individuals. Memorial Donations allow you to pay tribute to the memory of a family member, friend, or loved one who has passed. Honorarium Donations serve as a thoughtful way to express gratitude or acknowledge a friend, family member, colleague, or community member. When you make either a Memorial or Honorarium donation, your gift not only celebrates a special person but also directly supports the programs we provide for those impacted by kidney disease in Central Pennsylvania. We will send a notification of your gift to the individual or family you designate, ensuring your tribute is acknowledged. Families may also choose to request memorial gifts through an obituary, often suggesting language like, "In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in memory to The Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania, 900 S. Arlington Ave., Suite 134A, Harrisburg, PA 17109."

Vehicle Donations

Another convenient way to support KFCP is by donating your vehicle. We accept all types of vehicles, including automobiles, trucks, sport utility vehicles, motor homes, boats, airplanes, and farm equipment. This option allows you to qualify for tax deductions while avoiding the hassles of selling or disposing of a used or unwanted vehicle. We offer free pickup, whether the vehicle is running or not, providing a seamless way to contribute and enjoy the personal satisfaction of supporting our cause. The KFCP is also supported through contributions via our affiliation as an Associated Health Agency with the United Way of the Capitol Region and other United Way agencies across Pennsylvania.

Donor Privacy and Transparency

We deeply respect the privacy of our donors and have established a comprehensive Donor Privacy Policy to uphold their rights. We collect donor information strictly for internal purposes and do not share any personal donor information with outside organizations. While we maintain records of giving history for IRS purposes, this information is not available for public inspection. Donors' names may be published in recognition materials and media, unless a donor explicitly chooses for their name not to be listed. The KFCP never sells, trades, or shares its donor list with any other organization.
