Sarah, a young girl with kidney disease, often felt different from her peers. Attending Camp “Kydnie “allowed her to meet other children facing similar health challenges. She built lasting friendships and discovered a sense of belonging, enjoying activities tailored to her needs.
Camp “Kydnie” Builds Community
Paula had been on dialysis for over a decade and was ready to give up hope. Through our specialized educational series on transplant options, we connected her with a leading transplant professional, reigniting her belief in a better tomorrow. Today, she thrives with a new kidney, living her best life.
New Kidney, New Hope
Vicky, a mother of two faced the terrifying prospect of losing her home due to not being able to work as she underwent emergency heart surgery complicated by kidney disease. Thanks to emergency financial support from the Foundation, enabling her to apply for more financial help, she was able to stay in her home, keeping her family safe and secure through the holidays.

John felt isolated after his diagnosis, struggling to cope with daily life. Through the Patient & Family Partner Program, he connected with a mentor who understood his challenges. This newfound support helped him navigate his treatment and find renewed hope.

Maria faced constant stress arranging transportation for her dialysis treatments, often missing appointments due to unreliable options. Thanks to the CRD Program-Transportation, she now has reliable rides, ensuring she receives consistent, life-saving care without added burden.

David became an advocate after experiencing firsthand the complexities of kidney care access. With KFCP's advocacy training, he shared his story with policymakers, contributing to new legislation that improved insurance coverage for kidney patients across the state.
