KIDNEY FOUNDATION IMPACT & GOALS

To achieve these goals, we offer a wide range of patient services to patients and caregivers navigating the many challenges of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).

Working with the Commonwealth’s Department of Health Renal Disease Advisory Committee, The Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania (KFCP) advocates for the availability and accessibility of the specialized care, equipment, and personnel necessary to care for people suffering from renal diseases.

KFCP participates in the development of the Department of Health’s State Health Assessment (SHA). The SHA report provides a “one-stop” summary of information to illustrate the characteristics of the Commonwealth, its health issues, healthcare services, health risks, strengths and variability, and the resources addressing many of the health concerns.

KFCP addresses public policy impacting quality of care such as the early diagnosis of chronic kidney disease, improved dialysis facility quality and increasing kidney transplant opportunities with government officials, state and federal agencies, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
